Va'tal Warning

Observers in Naos report that the otherwise passive Va'tal ships, until now easy prey for captains greedy for plunder and easy hunting, have been transforming. With a strange rippling they have transformed to menacing warships bristling with energy. Across the galaxy transdimensional anomalieshave sprung up and Va'tal ships emerge from them. For now they seem content to merely wait, but in every system where they appear, they emit powerful gravitational dark matter pulses that repeat every few minutes. The pulse and static disrupts communication and instruments wherever it is broadcast

It is followed by what appears to be a countdown timer. It appears the coundown will end in a matter of days.

Transmission 1

The Transdimensional Anomalies rip open in a fiery explosion claiming many innocent ships passing by. Fleets of the Va'Tal have been spotted in Naos, Sirius, Alpha Leporis and Cepella. Whilst Matrix vessels flood the area in an attempt to close the Anomalies anything in their path is vulnerable. The Matrix council estimate that the Anomalies will take at least six hours to close, all the while more Va'Tal invade the galaxy.

Transmission 2

The Matrix council have successfully closed the Capella Anomaly. With renewed vigor they dispatch what is left of their fleet from Capella to assist with closing the other Anomalies.

Transmission 3

With a huge strain the Matrix council manage to close the Sirius Anomaly, however is doing so they suffer devastating losses.
The Va'Tal are furious with the Matrix intervention and being sending more powerful ships through the remaining Anomalies.

Transmission 4

The Va'Tal, disappointed by their lack of progress and the Matrix council's success at sealing their anonymities have vowed to send more powerful ships through the remaining anonymities, determined that they will conquer the galaxy and rein supreme once more
Whilst sealing the anonymities, the Matrix have noticed a pattern with the Va'Tal attacks. Because of the number of ships and the distance they are sent, they appear at the mouth of the anomaly every 15 minutes.

Transmission 5

As the largest invasion force the galaxy has ever seen begins breaking through in Alpha Leporis, with the research and knowledge gained from the ongoing incursion, the Matrix manage to close the rift before the entire fleet can finish their incursion. The Va'Tal message in Naos takes on an even more aggressive tone, promising destruction of every non Va'Tal in their home system.

Transmission 6

With the threat from the Va'Tal, residents of Naos implore any and all beings with working ships the aid them in defeating the Va'Tal, as their invasion force grows larger and larger.

Transmission 7

With an almighty push, the Matrix council seal the last anomaly in Naos, just as the last Va'Tal invasion ship is reduced to atoms.
The Va'Tal who remain surrender and vow to continue in peace.
The Va'Tal have been defeated in as much as opening wormholes to our galaxy, but who knows when they may try again...
